The 2024 Quantum Melges 24 Great Lakes Cup – Event 2 will be taking place June 22-23, 2024 at the Sarnia Yacht Club in Point Edward, Ontario, Canada. This is the first time a Canadian location will host an event of the series. Registration is open and the NOR has been posted on the event page.
The Quantum Melges 24 Great Lakes Cup consists of 4 high-profile event held across the Midwest District and is open to US and Canadian boats. The Cup is sponsored by Quantum Sails with whom the US Melges 24 Class Association has a strong and exciting partnership. Since the Cup’s inception in 2021, it has provided a high caliber of racing amongst the of the Melges 24 fleet.
The previous winner was Canadian Dan Berezin’s Surprise (CAN 629-Corinthian), having scored 72 points across the 4 events and beating out 42 teams which includes the professional boats. The full 2023 Quantum Great Lakes Cup Results are available to view and provide insight into the scoring.

Event 1 – Muskegon Spring Championship, Muskegon Yacht Club – May 18-19
Event 2 – Quantum Melges 24 Great Lakes Cup Series Sarnia Regatta, Sarnia Yacht Club – June 22-23
Event 3 – Grand Traverse Invitational, Grand Traverse Yacht Club, August 17-18
Event 4 – Fall Championship, Lake Geneva Yacht Club, October 5-6
